I can't believe that it's May already! So early in the season and we've had 3 events! Sadly, I haven't been able to participate as the Alpine is still in bits. But I will soon as the engine is in! Hope to have it all together by the Arlington show, or the next Meeting.
April 29th was our annual "Dust Off" event headed this year by Gary Panarotto and Dennis Culligan. It was a great day with 11 cars in total. All that could put their tops down did and from the pictures I've seen, the roads were just magnificent. At lunch, a good selection of food and more importantly beer was available. Thanks again to Gary and Dennis, with special thanks to Gary for his maps and directions. With this many cars and the twisty roads many could have been lost, but none were.
May 3rd was Britfest. Five Brits braved the not so great weather to attend. Of course with the weather, attendence was down. But the Brits brought home awards anyway! Bruno Devuono got a 4th place in the chrome bumper B class, with Gary Panarotto taking a 1st place with his TR6 and Dennis Culligan taking a 4th place with his TR6. Congrats!
May 4th found the weather improving, slightly, for the Rhinebeck show. Again because of the weather, attendence was down with a smaller than usual British showing. Only three Brits, Bill & Linda Schienert and Dennis Culligan made the show. Bill even got his picture on the Poughkkeepsie Journal website. Check out www.pojonews.com to see him and his Bugeye. Dennis took his first 1st place at the show. Congrats Dennis, well deserved!
We've got lots more planned, but still have room for other events so let us know if you've got anything in mind. We can make it happen!
Cheers!
